JOB DESCRIPTION:

Perform a variety of duties involved in the receipt, compilation, preparation, verification, distribution, collection and processing of testing materials for the End of Course (ECA); utilize a computer to input and extract data, and maintain and update various databases and records related to assessment tests for the improvement of student achievement.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Candidate must have a high school diploma or GED.  Must have strong office, computer, and oral and written communication skills. Incumbents must possess knowledge of child guidance principles and practices, and basic instructional methods and techniques.

 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Perform a variety of duties involved in the receipt, compilation, preparation, distribution, collection and processing of testing materials for the ECA standardized tests; collaborate with administration on GQE/ECA remediation and completion data, assist in assuring smooth and efficient assessment testing for the District.

 

2. Receive, count and verify testing materials; inspect testing shipments for conformity to packing slips and security barcodes; assure adequate quantity of testing materials; identify shortages and arrange for additional materials as needed.

 

3. Assist Guidance staff with schedule entry as needed, input and update student, testing and a variety of other data in an assigned computer system; establish and maintain automated records and files; initiate queries, develop spreadsheets and databases, and generate a variety of computerized lists and reports.

 

4. Prepare and arrange testing materials for distribution to testing sites and classrooms; compile, assemble, package, label and set up testing materials; disseminate test packets and materials to appropriate sites and classrooms; assure proper security of test materials.

 

5. Collect testing materials after completion of assessment tests; verify proper return and quantity of testing materials; assure accuracy and completeness of required information; prepare and package completed tests for processing.

 

6. Assist with the planning, organization, implementation and supervision of Statemandated testing activities; compile student lists, coordinate testing arrangements, student assignments, material inventory, and assist in determining testing locations as directed; administer and monitor students during assessment tests as assigned.

 

7. Compile information and maintain current ECA test scores, waiver data, and various records and files related to all students grades 9-12, test results and assigned activities.

 

8. Distribute, collect, process and verify accuracy and completeness of a variety of testrelated forms, applications and documents.

 

9. Conduct waiver deficiency meetings with students, and coordinate ECA remediation and completion data.

 

10. Perform related duties as assigned by the Administrator to meet the particular needs of the building/unit.

 

PROBATIONARY PERIOD: 

  • New employees must successfully complete their probationary period to be eligible to apply for posted positions.
  • Employees must remain in their current position a minimum of sixty (60) calendar days to be eligible to apply for any non-lateral posted position.
  • Current non-probationary employees may only apply for lateral positions at the end of each school year.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to speak and hear. The employee is required to have dexterity of hands and fingers. The employee is required to sit or stand for extended periods of time. They may be occasionally required to bend at the waist, kneel or crouch. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job the incumbent is seated or walking at will. The incumbent will be required to lift, carry and/or push students in wheelchairs as assigned. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions.
